Website issues

Tue Jun 2, 2009, 1:48 AM
Just a quick question: does anyone know any good place to either buy a (cheap) domain or to publish your website, 'cause apparently, as I've got a new internet connection provider, I'm not anymore allowed to contact the server where my website was and therefore my website doesn't exist anymore.

+I should probably buy a new subscription as I'm already getting really angry about all the ads, especially the ones in my gallery.

Alive but not kicking

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 23, 2009, 4:52 AM
Whoa, it's been a long time since I wrote a journal entry, last one was ...wait... in December 31! But well, there hasn't really been anything art-related since that, just some occasional photographs here and there, but nothing big.
But now there is something; I finally got to the end of a film roll and got it developed. Now I've just got to get it scanned. I'll probably do that in Wednesday when my exam week starts and I have REALLY short days, like from 8am to 10.30am, or something like that -- it really depends how fast I get the exams done --, so I have time after that to go to the schools arts class' scanner, the same I used for the last roll. So, my thoughts started to wander around, for a change =P, what I meant to say earlier: the roll has been in my Canonet since Autumn 2008, or something like that, and I've been taking couple shots here and there, so I'm not really sure what there really is and towards the end I didn't even remember if it was colour of bw film.

Mainly I've been using my time since January-February playing Half-Life and CS:S. Though I'm really pissed that I can't play the Episode 1, nor 2, 'cause my computer can't run them... I just have them pissing me off in the top right hand corner of my eye... I hope I can get a summer job, so I can get enough money to buy a new computer and get to go to Assembly Summer 09.

And also, this face is also now in the Book, meaning Facebook of course. That site is so unnecessary, but still kinda fun with all the weird tests.

And also, yay, 16 days 'til my birthday :w00t:

And as you might have, unless you're colourblind or something, I have a new CSS background.

Important news

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 31, 2008, 8:15 AM
I finally got my totally new website working and ready to be uploaded. I already put some parts of it up, but it's still missing some galleries, 'cause I've been having space issues as I'm only allowed to have 50 Mb on the server, so I have to either put up less photos or lower the quality. Though I already put the website up, there will be some updates to it and I've got a problem with the resolution of the images as they're optimized to 1280x1024 which is my resolution, so I might have to do few different versions of it to choose from. So I'm open for suggestions and please tell me if it looks bad on 16:9 screens or on higher resolutions.

That's it for now.

And happy new year!

1,000

Journal Entry: Sat Aug 9, 2008, 3:28 AM
:w00t: I got my first 1,000 views on any deviation of mine, and it was this one yay

And I'm getting nearer to 6,000 pageviews. Hope that'll be soon.

And in other news: School starts on next Monday, so I'll probably be offline for at least couple of days, since I'm going to a local school and it's quite small, so therefore I don't even know on which courses and I'm going to go on... so, I don't know what books or other stuff I'm going to need, so, I've used a lot of "so"s, I'm going to have to buy those on those days. Man, I'm bad at explaining stuff...

Norway

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 27, 2008, 8:04 AM
Yes, I did go to Norway with my family, we left on Sunday and came just back. We went by car, so we had to drive through Sweden and back, so I probably sat in the car for thousands of kilometers. It was a lot of fun, but sadly it was cloudy until the last day of our stay in Norway (on Friday we drove through Sweden to Umeå and went by boat to Vaasa and on Saturday we were at a wedding). I took over 400 photos, so you'll probably see a lot of those. The roads were "a bit higher" in Norway than in Finland (our home is about 12 m from the sea level and most of the time in Norway we drove in altitudes over 1000 m from the sea level). And I'll soon be submitting some film photos too, I'll just have to get those developed and scanned.
